Hi y’all.

I’m a writer, photographer, and musician from Lexington, Virginia. I’ve also lived in Maine, and for a little bit in London. Now I live in New York.

I write about art (mainly music) and the places where that art happens. Sometimes other things too, but mainly the art/places thing. My work has been featured by NPR, Condé Nast Traveler, Genius, and others. You can find my writing here.

I’m also a photographer, mainly for music things. I’ve shot at festivals like Bonnaroo and for artists like Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, Khalid, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis, and more. I also take pictures of people and cool things outside. You can see my photo work here.

When I’m not doing those things, I’m usually surfing or running or making a big soup or working at my bakery job in Bed-Stuy.
